PEYGAMBER EFENDİMİZ'İN VEDA HUTBESİ

(9 Zilhicce l0 H./8 Mart 632 M . Cuma)

Peygamberimiz Hz. Muhammed (s.a.s.) Vedâ haccında, 9 Zilhicce Cuma günü zevâlden sonra Kasvâ adlı devesi üzerinde, Arafat Vâdisi'nin ortasında 124 bin Müslümanın şahsında bütün insanlığa şöyle hitab etti:

"Hamd Allah'a mahsustur. O'na hamdeder, O'ndan yardım isteriz. Allah kime hidâyet ederse, artık onu kimse saptıramaz. Sapıklığa düşürdüğünü de kimse hidâyete erdiremez. Şehâdet ederim ki; Allah'dan başka ilâh yoktur. Tektir, eşi ortağı, dengi ve benzeri yoktur. Yine şehâdet ederim ki, Muhammed O'nun kulu ve Rasûlüdür.”

"Ey insanlar! Sözümü iyi dinleyiniz! Bilmiyorum, belki bu seneden sonra sizinle burada bir daha buluşamayacağım. İnsanlar! Bugünleriniz nasıl mukaddes bir gün ise, bu aylarınız nasıl mukaddes bir ay ise, bu şehriniz (Mekke) nasıl mübarek bir şehir ise, canlarınız, mallarınız, namuslarınız da öyle mukaddestir, her türlü tecâvüzden korunmuştur.

Ashabım! Muhakkak Rabbinize kavuşacaksınız. O'da sizi yaptıklarınızdan dolayı sorguya çekecektir. Sakin benden sonra eski sapıklıklara dönmeyiniz ve birbirinizin boynunu vurmayınız! Bu vasiyetimi, burada bulunanlar,bulunmayanlara ulaştırsın. Olabilir ki, burada bulunan kimse bunları daha iyi anlayan birisine ulaştırmış olur.

Ashabım! Kimin yanında bir emanet varsa, onu hemen sahibine versin. Biliniz ki, faizin her çeşidi kaldırılmıştır. Allah böyle hükmetmiştir. İlk kaldırdığım faiz de Abdulmutallib'in oğlu (amcam) Abbas'ın faizidir. Lakin anaparanız size aittir. Ne zulmediniz, ne de zulme uğrayınız.

Ashabım! Dikkat ediniz, cahiliyeden kalma bütün adetler kaldırılmıştır, ayağımın altındadır. Cahiliye devrinde güdülen kan davaları da tamamen kaldırılmıştır. Kaldırdığım ilk kan davası Abdulmuttalib'in torunu Iyas bin Rabia'nın kan davasıdır.

Ey insanlar! Muhakkak ki, şeytan şu toprağınızda kendisine tapınmaktan tamamen ümidini kesmiştir. Fakat siz bunun dışında ufak tefek işlerinizde ona uyarsanız, bu da onu memnun edecektir. Dininizi korumak için bunlardan da sakınınız.

Ey insanlar! Kadınların haklarını gözetmenizi ve bu hususta Allah'tan korkmanızı tavsiye ederim. Siz kadınları, Allah'ın emaneti olarak aldınız ve onların namusunu kendinize Allah'ın emriyle helal kıldınız. Sizin kadınlar üzerinde hakkınız, kadınların da sizin üzerinizde hakkı vardır. Sizin kadınlar üzerindeki hakkınızı; yatağınızı hiç kimseye çiğnetmemeleri, hoşlanmadığınız kimseleri izniniz olmadıkça evlerinize almamalarıdır. Eğer gelmesine müsaade etmediğiniz bir kimseyi evinize alırlarsa, Allah, size onları yataklarında yalnız bırakmanıza ve daha olmazsa hafifçe dövüp sakındırmanıza izin vermiştir. Kadınların da sizin üzerinizdeki hakları, meşru örf ve adete göre yiyecek ve giyeceklerini temin etmenizdir.

Ey mü'minler! Size iki emanet bırakıyorum, onlara sarılıp uydukça yolunuzu hiç şaşırmazsınız. O emanetler, Allah'ın kitabı Kur-ân-i Kerim ve Peygamberin sünnetidir.

Mü'minler! Sözümü iyi dinleyiniz ve iyi belleyiniz! Müslüman Müslüman'ın kardeşidir ve böylece bütün Müslümanlar kardeştirler. Bir Müslüman'a kardeşinin kanı da, malı da helal olmaz. Fakat malını gönül hoşluğu ile vermişse o başkadır.

Ey insanlar! Cenab-ı Hak her hak sahibine hakkını vermiştir. Her insanın mirastan hissesini ayırmıştır. Mirasçıya vasiyet etmeye lüzum yoktur. Çocuk kimin döşeğinde doğmuşsa ona aittir. Zina eden kimse için mahrumiyet vardır.

Ey insanlar! Rabbiniz birdir. Babanız da birdir. Hepiniz Adem'in çocuklarısınız, Adem ise topraktandır. Arabın Arap olmayana, Arap olmayanın da Arap üzerine üstünlüğü olmadığı gibi; kırmızı tenlinin siyah üzerine, siyahın da kırmızı tenli üzerinde bir üstünlüğü yoktur. Üstünlük ancak takvada, Allah'tan korkmaktadır. Allah yanında en kıymetli olanınız O'ndan en çok korkanınızdır. Azası kesik siyahî bir köle başınıza amir olarak tayin edilse, sizi Allah'ın kitabi ile idare ederse, onu dinleyiniz ve itaat ediniz. Kimse kendi suçundan başkası ile suçlanamaz. Baba, oğlunun suçu üzerine, oğlu da babasının suçu üzerine suçlanamaz.

Dikkat ediniz! Şu dört şeyi kesinlikle yapmayacaksınız:

- Allah'a hiçbir şeyi ortak koşmayacaksınız.

- Allah'ın haram ve dokunulmaz kıldığı canı, haksız yere öldürmeyeceksiniz.

- Zina etmeyeceksiniz.

- Hırsızlık yapmayacaksınız.

İnsanlar! Yarın beni sizden soracaklar, ne diyeceksiniz? "

Sahabe-i Kiram birden söyle dediler:

"Allah'ın elçiliğini ifa ettiniz, vazifenizi hakkıyla yerine getirdiniz, bize vasiyet ve nasihatte bulundunuz, diye şahadet ederiz!"

Bunun üzerine Resul-i Ekrem Efendimiz (S.A.V.) şahadet parmağını kaldırdı, sonra da cemaatin üzerine çevirip indirdi ve söyle buyurdu:

"Şahit ol yâ Rab! Şahit ol yâ Rab! Şahit ol yâ Rab! "

Abschieds Hutba

O Ihr Menschen, hört meine Worte, denn ich weiß nicht, ob ich nach diesem Jahr noch unter Euch weile.
O Ihr Menschen, so wie Ihr diesen Monat, diesen Tag, diese Stadt als heilig betrachtet, genauso betrachtet das Leben und das Eigentum eines jeden Muslim als heilig.

Meine Gefährten, Ihr werdet Eurem Herrn begegnen und über eure Taten Rechenschaft ablegen müssen. Fallt nach mir nicht in Eure alte Verwirrung und schlagt euch nicht wieder die Köpfe ab. Die hier Anwesenden sollen denen meine Worte verkünden, die nicht Anwesend sind. Sei es, dass der später Hörende diese besser versteht und behält als der Anwesende.

Gebt die Euch anvertrauten Güter ihren rechtmäßigen Eigentümern zurück. Übertretet nicht, damit auch niemand gegen Euch ungerecht ist. Allah hat euch verboten Wucherzins zu nehmen, deshalb ist es für jeden eine Pflicht, von nun an darauf zu verzichten. Der erste Zins den ich aufhebe, ist der Zins meines Onkels Abbas (bin Abdulmuttalib).

Auch die Blutfehden aus der Zeit der Dschahiliyya sind von nun an aufgehoben. Die erste Blutfehde, die ich aufhebe, ist die Fehde des Enkels des Abdulmattalibs (meines Cousins) Rebia.

Nehmt Euch vor Satan in Acht. Er (Satan) hat jede Hoffnung verloren, Euch von dem rechten Weg abbringen zu können. Doch wenn Ihr sogar kleinere Vergehen, außer denen die ich hier verboten habe, begeht, so wird ihn auch dies erfreuen. Nehmt auch Abstand von diesen, um Euch euren Glauben zu bewahren.

Ihr Menschen, es ist die Wahrheit, dass Ihr gewisse Rechte hinsichtlich Eurer Frauen habt, so wie sie Rechte in Bezug auf Euch haben. Wenn sie (die Frauen) Euren Rechten treu bleiben, haben sie das Recht in Güte ernährt und bekleidet zu werden.

Behandelt Eure Frauen gut und seid gütig zu Ihnen, sie sind Eure Lebenspartner und anvertrauten Helfer.

Und es ist Euer Recht, dass sie sich nicht mit Personen anfreunden, die Ihr nicht gutheißt, um den Ehebruch nicht zu unterstützen.

O Ihr Menschen, hört mir aufrichtig zu! Verehrt Allah, verrichtet die fünf täglichen Gebete, fastet im Monat Ramadan und gebt die Zakah. Vollzieht den Hajj, wenn Ihr dazu in der Lage seid.

Ich hinterlasse zwei Dinge: den Qur'an und mein Beispiel, die Sunnah - und wenn Ihr diesen folgt, werdet Ihr niemals irregehen.
Ihr wißt: jeder Muslim ist der Bruder eines jeden Muslims! Verletzt nicht das Recht eures Bruders, es sei denn er gibt es Euch von sich aus.

Meine Gefährten, tut auch Eurem Nefs keinen Zwang an, denn auch Euer Nefs hat ein Recht gegen euch.

Allah teala hat jedem Berechtigten sein Recht (im Koran) zugeteilt. Es bedarf keines Testamentes für die Hinterbliebenen. In wessen Bett das Kind geboren wurde, dem ist es auch zuzurechnen. Für den Ehebrüchigen gibt es nur Entbehrung.

Ihr Menschen, euer Herr ist Einer, euer Stammvater ist auch einer. Ihr seid alle Kinder Adams, der aus Lehm erschaffen wurde. Derjenige ist Allah am liebsten, der die größte Ehrfurcht vor Ihm hat. Der Araber hat keinen Vorrang vor dem Nicht-Araber.
Ihr seid alle gleich. Niemand ist dem anderen überlegen, außer in Frömmigkeit und guten Taten.

O Ihr Menschen, kein Prophet oder Gesandter wird nach mir kommen und auch kein neuer Glauben wird geboren. Seid deshalb voller Vernunft und versteht meine Worte, die ich Euch übermittle.

Ihr Menschen! Morgen (am Tage des Jüngsten Gerichts) wird man Euch über mich befragen, was werdet Ihr sagen?

"Du hast die Gesandtschaft Allahs erfüllt, deine Pflicht zu Genüge getan, uns gutes gepredigt und empfohlen, dies bezeugen wir."

Sei mein Zeuge o Herr, sei mein Zeuge o Herr, sei mein Zeuge o Herr, dass ich Deine Botschaft Deinen Leuten übermittelt habe.

Our Prophet's Farewell Hutba

In the name of ALLAH, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
O people,

"listen good to my words. I don't know, but maybe I won't meet you here again after this year.

"O people,

"just the way these days, these months are sacred, and just the way this town (Mekka) is sacred, your lifes, your goods and your honour are sacred the same way, they are protected from any kind of attack.

"O my followers,

"For sure, you will be reunited with your RABB. And HE will interrogate you about what you have done. And don't you ever turn to your former perversions and don't you behead of each other! You, who are here, do cause to reach my last request to the ones who are not here. It might well be, that someone, who is here can cause to reach it to someone, who understands it better.

Interest

"O my followers,

"Whoever has anything entrusted, shall give it back immediately to its posessor. Do know, that any kind of interest has been removed. ALLAH has given order like this. The first interest I have removed, is the interest of Abbas, son of Abdulmuttalib. But the capital belongs to yourself. Do not tyronize and don't let other tyronize you.

"O my followers,

"Do pay attention, that all the customs from the Cahiliye (the time befor our Prophet) have been removed. They are all below my feets. The vendettas, which were common before, are now completely removed. And the first vendetta, that I remove, is the vendetta of Iyas, son of Rabia, grandchild of Abdulmuttalib.

"O people,

"Undoubtedly, the devil has no more hope, that somebody will ever idolize him on these grounds. But you will follow seytan in other small and thin situations, and this will make him happy. To save your religion, do avoid this.

Woman rights

"O people,

"I recommend you, to respect women rights and to be afraid of ALLAH in this subject. You took them from ALLAH as a trust and you made their honour helal for you with the permission of ALLAH. You have rights on your women and women have rights on you. The right, you have on your women are; they should not let anybody trample down your bed, and they must not let anybody in your house, that you don't like without your permission. If they do so, then ALLAH allows you to leave them alone in their bed; or, if this doesn't help, to hit them, but very gently. The rights, your women have on you are, that you assure them food and clothes, which are suitable to the local customs.

Two Trusts

"O mü'min,

"I leave you two trusts. As long as you cling on them, you will never lose your way. Those trusts are the book of ALLAH, the Qur'an and the Sunna of the Prophet.

Brotherhood

"O mü'min,

"Do listen good to my words, and learn them by heart well. A muslim is the brother of a muslim, and so all muslims are brothers. Neither the blood nor the goods of a muslim are helal to another muslim. But if he gives his goods voluntary, that is different.

"O people,

"ALLAH has given the rights to everybody, who owns a right. ALLAH has seperated every one's share from the heritage. There is no need to make a testament for the inheritors. The child belongs to the one, in whose bed it was born. There is deprivation for someone who made zina (adultery). Somebody, who claims another family line than his father's, or who joins someone else than his master, he shall be damned by ALLAH's angels and the whole humanity. ALLAH doesn't accept those people's repentance, justice or attestations (shahâdet).

All People Are Equal

"O people,

"Your Rabb is One. And your father is one. You are all children of Adam; and Adam is made of soil. As there is no supermacy of an arab over an non-arab, or an non-arab over an arab, there is no supermacy of a red-skinned over a black-skinned or a black-skinned over a red-skinned. Superiority can only be in your takva (the degree of how much you are afraid of ALLAH). For ALLAH the most precious among you, is the one, who fears ALLAH the most.

"If a black slave with an broken stick is appointed as a superior over you, and he leads you with the book of ALLAH, so do listen to him and do obey him.

The Basic Of Justice

"The guilty one can only be accused for his guilt. The father cannot be accuse for what his son has done, and the son cannot be accused for what his father has done.

"Pay attention, not to do these four things definitely:

1. Do not take a partner to ALLAH!

2. Do not kill unjustely, what ALLAH has made haram or what ALLAH has forbidden you to touch!

3. Don't do adultery!

4. Don't steal!

"I have been ordered to make cihad against people, until the say "la ilahe illallah, Muhammden Resulullah". The moment they say this, their blood and their goods will be safe. And ALLAH will make the final account.

"O people,

"Tomorrow they will ask you about me. What are you going to tell them?"

The followers of Rasulallah said all together:

"We will witness, that you have fulfilled ALLAH's legation, that you have done your duty as due and that you bequethed and counseled us."

Then Rasoulallah raised his index finger, turned to the crowed and said:

"Be Witness, yâ Rabb! Be Witness, yâ Rabb! Be Witness, yâ Rabb! "
